The BizTalk Server Team has announced the release of the public beta 2 for BizTalk Server 2006 R2 yesterday. It might be a good idea to read their post here to get an idea of the upcoming features in R2 and also how to get it.
On a side note, here is another interesting post from a member of the product team regarding a feature which has also made it into R2.
